Commuter tax scrapped

The announced commuter tax will most likely not go through
In the 2013 tax plan it was announced that the tax free exemption for commuting to and from work (forensenbelasting) will be abolished. This means that the employer may no longer disburse the cost of expenses for commuting to the employee tax-free. Any disbursement must then be included in the calculation of payroll tax.
According to various sources this commuter tax will be scrapped by the coalition between the VVD and PVDA. Obf course, any rumours must be taken with a grain of salt until the plans are officially announced.
