Easier establishment

Easier establishment in the Netherlands

It has recently become easier for entrepreneurs from outside the European Union to establish themselves in the Netherlands. The Minisitry of Economic Affairs has amended the laws regarding incoming foreign entrepreneurs with effect from August 1st. The relaxation is designed to make it easier for innovative self-employed persons who can contribute to the Dutch economy to come to the Netherlands.

Relevant industries
Particularly companies in the creative, medical and ICT sector ar looking for independent highly skilled migrants with creative, innovative ideas and new solutions. Attracting more foreign highly skilled migrants ensures more employment in these sectors. One of the measures is a reduction of the minimum amount of business investments that foreign self-employed must comply with from EUR 25,000 to EUR 5,000.
