Income tax return for 2018: Interest on tax

The income tax return season for 2018 has been open since the first of March 2019. The Tax and Customs Administration is committed to getting back before the first of July to all those having filed their return before the first of April, and to doing all it can by the same date to notify all those having filed between the first of April and the first of May, all of this without interest on tax being levied on the tax payers in question.

You can avoid being charged interest on tax by filing your income tax return before the first of May. We would for the record point out, however, that the Tax and Customs Administration may still charge you with interest on tax where it has departed from your tax return.
