Online tax help

If you have any questions for the tax office regarding tax or benefits then it is possible to ask these questions online. For this they have created the new Twitter account: @Belastingdienst.

Questions regarding tax and benefits
You can ask questions to the tax office via their Twitter account at any time during the year. However, the Twitter helpline is not intended to answer questions which require personal details. The webcare team of the tax office will not ask for confidential details, such as income. The new account @Belastingdienst replaces the old account BDaangifte. The old account is only available to answer questions about income tax returns during the tax return period.
The webcare team is online from 8am to 8pm Mondays to Thursdays, and from 8am to 5pm on Fridays. Questions which are posted outside these times will be answered whenever the webcare team is online again.

Questions from business owners
The tax office is also expanding their online help service to businesses. For business owners the relevant Twitter account is @BDzakelijk. All business owners can post their questions to @BDzakelijk. This account is not intended solely to help businesses just starting out, but all businesses. The new account @BDzakelijk replaces the old account BDstarters.

Questions regarding travel luggage
The tax office continues to answer questions regarding the tax and customs status of items brought to and from the Netherlands on Facebook and on the Twitter account @douanereizigers.
