Revised opening dates for (digital) application for NOW allowance finalisation

The Social Affairs and Employment Minister has changed the opening dates for application for NOW allowance finalisation, in addition to which it has been decided that the terms for applications with and without an auditors’ opinion for the various subschemes, viz. NOW‑1, NOW‑2 and NOW‑3, should henceforth be the same. The application term for NOW‑2 and NOW‑3 has been fixed at 38 weeks while that for NOW‑1 is even longer now that the closing date has been pushed back.

Opening date for (digital) application for NOW‑1 allowance finalisation

The application term for NOW‑1 allowance finalisation has been extended to 31 October 2021 inclusive, compared with 29 June 2021 as the original closing date for applications with an auditors’ opinion and 23 March 2021 for all other applications. The extension had been requested by NBA, the Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants, with UWV, the Netherlands Employment Insurance Agency, calling for the difference in closing dates for the two types of application being done away with.

Opening date for (digital) application for NOW‑2 finalisation

The Social Affairs and Employment Minister in response to UWV’s request for an earlier opening date for application for NOW‑2 allowance finalisation with a view to scheduled technical operations has duly decided to advance the opening date by a month, from 15 April to 15 March 2021. The original closing date, viz. the sixth of January 2022, for employers whose application needs to be accompanied by an auditors’ opinion is henceforth to apply across the board to all employers.

Opening date for (digital) application for NOW‑3 finalisation

The extension of the application term for NOW‑1 allowance finalisation has necessitated a corresponding change in the opening date for (digital) application for NOW‑3 finalisation, which consequently has had to be deferred from the first of September 2021 (the original date) to the fourth of October 2021. The closing date for NOW‑3 has been fixed at 26 June 2022.

Finally, the opening date for (digital) application for NOW‑4 and NOW‑5 allowance finalisation has been fixed at 31 January 2022 and the closing date for both subschemes, at 23 October 2022.
